I bought an Illinois that appears to be a 12 size, SN 3633885. It's a 17j HC but I have no idea as to model number, rarity etc.

Thanks in advance

Mike-
The watch is a model 4,grade "405", made in 1920, 1 of 20,700. As to scarcity, I haven't seen very many HC 12s watches on the auction site, more uncased movements than watches Frown

Hi Mike,
According to the encyclopedia it is:
12s Hunter, 17j, adj 6 pos. Mdl 4 Grade 405.
Some were marked "Autocrat" between 1912 - 1930.
Hopefully I read thgis right.

Thanks Bob, and Bill. I will probably offer this for sale if any interest is indicated.

It turns out to be a nice watch but probably not rare. It has a NOS Glass crystal!
