Has anyone ever heard of a Hamilton Monroe? The serial number indicates it is a Hamilton 975 and by all means that is what it looks like. BUT for this early a serial number it would not be marked 975 BUT where the 975 would be put in later 975's it is marked "Monroe."

Harry, Buster is right. I've seen these from time to time on fleabay, and because of that name there, (there are other names I've seen), the bidders start wetting their pants to win it. It's downright funny to watch! Brad

Hi Brad, yes I got this off fleabay but I just got it as a different Representative of the movement. I paid $35 and it runs and has a DS damaged dial and a second hand. I figure any running 17 jewel Hamilton is worth $35.
