Hello all,
Quick question about my 21j Crescent Street dial.
I have not seen this dial on any Waltham, and was wondering if it is an uncommon one. Thanks for any assistance.
Bill

This is a cost-saving Waltham Metal "Deco" Dial of the type they began offering in 1920 or so. The "rare" feature of yours is that it is still in very good condition and bespeaks well as an "all original" watch! The original hands are interesting, very bold choice for that dial. If the movement works well (as a 21J 1908 should) it will be a very nice looking "carry" piece. I add a copy of a 1925 dealer catalog page with a similar dial shown in the lower left corner of the page which also show the SAME hands as factory suppplied!
I must add that these deco dial designs were changing like the weather, as they were so very easy to make.
