I had to go do my taxes tonight, so after that fun and exciting trip, I decided to work on a watch that came in today. It is a Seth Thomas Model 2. When it came in, it was very clean, but had been so long since its last cleaning that the balance wouldn't even wiggle.
After completely tearing it down cafefully as to not bend or break any wheels (since they were stuck in the jewels), I got it taken down and run thrut he cleaners. I put her back together and low and behold she ran in half time without issues. She is purring along right now on the bench.
Serial number is 88,645 and it is a 17 jewel. I know the 17 jewel ones are a little harder to find, but didn't know on this one.

That is a nice looking watch! No bigger reward in watchmaking than to see an old watch that looks like it will just be a paperweight brought back to life with a bit of TLC! Nice case as well. I take it the settings were really gummed up. Did you end up replacing the mainspring as well? Dan
