One of my first watches that I picked up was an Elgin grade 342 which were a 16 size 17 jewel LS adjusted to 4 positions movement that were made in 5 runs of 1000 each for a total of 5000. I have tried to pick up one from each run so far I have runs 1,2 and 5(2watches) covered.
Here is a picture of an example for run 1 and run 2, they are slightly different, run one has a bit more engraving on the balance cock and the Elgin Watch Co script is different but the basic dmk effect is the same. The second picture is my first grade 342 with an unusual dial.
