Just got this in...Nicest one I've seen

#1268211 Illinois 18S 17J Grade 65 Adjusted from 1896
Wilson Bros "King of the Road"
Fitted with a "Special For Railway Service" Dial!

Blue Book shows 200 in this run with some Chesapeke & Ohio Favorites also in the run

Grades 64 and 65 were one of Inspector A.N. Anderson's favorite Illinois.

Wilson Bros were RR Timekeepers/Jewelers in Boston, Mass
in the late 1800s-early 1900s?

I have had one before years ago but not this nice
This has orig New York 20 Yr Case all blued screws two tone
checkerboard damaskeened Gold/Nickel movement and a perfect dial! Priceless

I have a private label like this one but from a J. A. Zang in Alliance Ohio dial and movement with matching identifications. The checkerboard design with matching gilt screws and hardware definitely is an eye pleasing hunter.
