David Johnson (watchupdoc) requested Lsz production numbers a while back, sorry I didn't see the post sooner David, anyway here are the numbers of all the early Howards made compiled by actual page by page factory record numbers count. It took me quite awhile to go thru page by page but now we have an accurate count of all the different series. Some runs were marked "destroyed" other group of runs were never made, hence the discrepancy in the numbers.

Harold
ps, The X sz. is also known as the J sz. XI and XII are the L sz.

I believe that 3,401-3,802 is showing the range of the serial numbers used for the "I" size. 3,401 - 3,500 were all "I" size and then two more movements were produced (3,801 & 3,802), hence the total of 102 made. The last two apparently are duplicate serial numbers with two "N" size movements.

I am not sure why the 3,501 - 26,600 group is tallied at 23,200 which seems 100 too many (if all numbers were used once).

Here's the mistake I made, the 23,200 number should actually be 23,099 for a grand total of 23,197 for the SER.III movements which includes 98 for the #3301 to #3398 group and 23,099 for the group of #3501 to #26,600.
Jerry is right, #3801 & #3802 both I size, were finished 9/18/63 while the records show #3801 & #3802 N sz were finished 7/28/63 (duplicate numbers). In the month of Feb/63 100 of the I sz were made, then in March the Nsz production started again while two more, (the last) I sz movements were finished Sep.63
