we have all tried to find a watch with our initials on it and its hard sometimes. i have a nice sterling hunter case with gold inlay , a nice buck on one side and l.a. on the other , lucky me ! i also have a nice watch with my wife's initials c.e.a. now im real lucky. awhile back a friend gave me a dollar watch with leonard on the dial from the factory. i didnt know they done that. now another good friend has given me a 16 size adjusted 17 jewel hunter case movement from the abbott watch company and i didnt even know there was such a thing. so my questions are who were they ? who ,what, when and where ? are they rare ? all info would be greatly appreciated.
thank you
leonard

Leonard on page 104 of the 2012 edition of The Price Guide it has all the information (which isn't a lot) about the Abbott Watch Co.

It says it was made by The E. Howard Watch Co. 1908 - 1912.

It appears that there were only 3 models and the hunting style was the same as the open faced model except it had no seconds chapter.

That's about all it says.

Leonard, these watches were made by E.Howard Watch Co.(Keystone).They are similar to the 1905 Howard Watch Co. watch.1908-1912 All were 17 Jewels.Look at page 104 in the price guide.I have one of these and it really runs well. Also in this forum under "Pocket watch discussions" do a search on Abbott Sure Time for more info on this.
