Well I would guess the difference is the escape wheel cap jewels. The one on the left is the small escape cap variation & the right one is the round escape cap variation. Nice watches, if I am right to I win them? Tom

One has twist off front bezel and the other a pop open style with a hindge. The Bow has the bar at the top too. As far as the movement goes, I don't know them well enough to know what you may be referring to. But.......... I woukd love to study them, so wait a while before answering. ok? I will mention one thing, the jewel on one of the bridges is different than the other one. I need time to look at the rest. Beautiful Watches! Sheila

I see two more things that look different to me. But, of course, having problems with the names of parts, is my biggest problem, so I will say them in laymans terms, and if not the ones you mention, maybe you can tell me about them too. First, there is a screw under the balance wheel of one, that I don't see under the other one, Second, the damaskeening is different, (just something I noticed, but not an issue here) Third, The small "thingie" on the regulator is not the same as the other, and the jewel there is different too. (I think) Also, I have never seen the type of Jewel setting used on the movement of the watch on the left, can you tell me what it's called? Thanks, Sheila Boy not knowing the names of the parts of a watch is my greatest frustration! Sheila

Sheila, from what I can tell the screws and jewels of both watches are similar if not exact. The demaskeening pattern is also the same. True, they are in seperate cases however, there is one "distinct" characteristic that makes them two seperate variants. Here's a close up of the watch on the left with the next a close up of the watch on the right. This should help.

I got it....the one on the right is a false bridge and the other is a true bridge. Beautiful watches I might add. Steve

Steve I agree with you, this was my 1st choice eariler but int he 1st photos I thought they were both false bridges. The Megger's book does also mention the difference in the escape wheel jewels, at least to me these look like tow different types of cap jewels. Tom

The watch on the right is from the 1st run (23J) 21st overall in a false bridge variation. The watch on the left is from the last run (23J) 19th overall in a true bridge variation. As close to the beginning and ending of these two variants that I could find....so far!!
