Waltham did not make a 16 size that looks like the model 1883 BUT Waltham did make a 14 size that looks like a 18 size model 1883. If you have the 2013 edition of The Price guide it is on page 141. The 14 size on page 141 is KW KS and I am not familiar enough with Waltham to be able to tell you if they were all KW KS or not.

4241873 is a model 1883, one of the rare 18s 11J key wind & set 1883 models. Some were marked Home Watch Co.

Measurng around the dial plate to get size can mess you up.

Dave, Sorry tried to upload picture but girlfriend had problems I guess she knows about this about as much as me, anyway movement falls through an 18 size case. I know database says 18 size but it is definitely not the case. no pun intended.the thing is it came in sterling case no other screw marks and its a Waltham case so I'm not sure what we have here. George, About 5 years ago two 14s "Home" Watch Co., made by American Watch Co., Waltham, passed through my collection. Both truly appeared to be a scaled down 1883. The large top picture is a 14s 11J. The lower side by side view is the 7 Jewel 14s next to an 18s model 1883. I restored both. Very fragile and finicky movements, I must add.
