I couldn't resist throwing a salvage bid at this watch and it followed me home. The watch was listed as Grand Dad's old watch, closed case, no details.

I was able to see the stem in the end of the bore in one of the photo's and thought, how hard can it be to find a crown???

Silly boy that I am, I don't have anything in my stash that fits. The crown off my 12s Hamilton factory swing case is really close.

Is there anyone out there I can ship the case and stem to that might be able to fit a crown for me? The case is a Rockford 25yr factory screw case.

I got totally lucky otherwise, the watch runs great, the case is oxidized but otherwise perfect, the hands look good and the dial has one small hair line between the 7 and 8. Overall, a beautiful watch.
