Hi All,

Would anyone be able to shed light on how many of the Waltham Grade 40's of the 4,000 made were marked " Non-Magnetic"?

Thanks to All,
Bila

Bila, factory records for the grade 40 Waltham model 1883, 2,000 were lever set and 2,000 were pendant set, but the only "non-Magnetic" models listed are Waltham model 1894.

Please clarify what movement (and S/N?) you are asking about.

Thanks David, the serial#5739364 it is a Model 1883 O/F Gilt movement, pendant set with a radial numbered dial. It is marked "Non Magnetic" across the barrel bridge.

Cheers,
Bila

Bila --

Here's a model 1883, A.T. & Co. that is "non-magnetic." s#4528783. They could be considered one-star watches for the relatively small number so marked. They actually are not, but they're worth twice what a non-marked model '83 brings in similar condition.

Do you have photos of movement and dial for us?
