Illinois "FAT BOY" dial "Click" to Login or Register

Here's one for the Illinois group. Which movement would you find this "Fat Boy" dial on? I would like to match it to the correct movement or other Wink

Carlos,

You would find that on a 1928 21 jewel Bunn Special 60 HOUR with a Bunn first model case(at least the four or so I have seen). It would also have the big Sangamo style hands on it. Those may be harder to find than the dial.

Carlos,

Was that you that was selling that dial. I had bid on it early on but kind of forgot about it and missed the auction closing. I simply can not believe that it raised so little interest. If it was yours and you still want to sell it, email me with your price. I might be interested.

Hi Steve, There was plenty of interest in the dial primarily BIN offers which seem to be the norm on our favorite auction site. It's too bad some sellers fall for this hard tactic and lose out on their true market value. I was however "convinced" by a friend to keep the dial and which I do have a set of those kite hands.

I don't have any Bunn Specials in my collection (way too many variants - I've been following your research posts) but, I think I will make this one concession since the dial is different.

I will now be looking to save a 60 hour Bunn Special in desperate need of a nice dial Smile Let me know if a nice one comes up!

Carlos,

Look for one between 5,000,000-5,150,000. Actually, I show I have two 1928 models, one is the one pictured above and my sheet says I have another one. I'll have to see what the other one looks like.

Here is a 1928 B/S 60 hour from 1928. Not a great case however.
