Hi All

Does any one have a serial number list that goes beyond the 823000 that is listed in the "Complete price guide to Watches". I have this nice 17j 12 size with a serial number of #866882. It is in a Rockford Permanent swingout from the side case. Any help on the year made and watch grade would be helpful. Thanks

I found all the information that I need on the above watch.

Rockford 12s 17j Grade 335 production of this grade 12,000 open face 3/4 pl nickel model 2 stem wind pendant set produced 1911 and lastly in was from a run of 500 (866501-867000).

Ehrdhardt's Rockford Grade and Serial Number with Production Fiqures p 20 has serial numbers starting at 824001.

However they may be less accurate than earlier runs. That being said it is the best available.

Also be aware most of the 12 movements in the 800,000 were sold by the factory at a discount to unload them. In many cases the quality was lower than earlier 12 size.
