As far as the jeweler goes I find Otto TC Colonius in the St. Louis Mo. city directory in 1890 as a watchmaker working at 2808 N. 15th & living at 1920 Wright. In the census records he apparently was not a jeweler for a long period. In 1880 he is living with his parents John & Eva, his father is a retail grocer & Otto is about 20 & is listed as a clerk in a store (his father's?) Otto is listed as being born in about 1860 in Mo. & his parents from Prussia. There was no 1890 federal census. In 1900 his is still in St. Louis & is now married to Agnes, he is listed as a Fire Insurance Agent. In 1910 same city still with Agnes & now has 3 sons & a daughter. Otto is a real estate agent 1920 same city with Agnes & 1 son & daughter, still listed as a real estate agent 1930 St, Louis now 70 & living with a daughter & her husband, no occupation listed.

Hi Jon - Definitely a Model 2 Seth Thomas. It would be interesting to know if the center post was jewelled on the dial side.
