Here is an odd ball. It's a Waltham 18s key wind, looks like a model 1857, Foggs patent #411491, circa 1868. What is most unusual is it is not marked Waltham on the movement, instead there are a set of Chinese characters. Has anyone ever seen this before? If so, what does it read & mean? That is an odd one, I await to hear from the experts. That was a short run on these according to the serial number, all in the same month & only 99 of them.. At least that appears short to me. Tom | |||
