Hamilton 942 Flat Screws "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I just picked up a 942 Hamilton. All of the movement screws are of the Flat Head type except one on the barrel bridge.
I would like to replace the miss-matched screw with the correct type. Does anyone know of any other movements that may have a matching screw. Other than another 942 / 943.
Were these only used on the high end movements ?
Thanks Jack

I have a 926, 478,000 range from the year 1904 that has all flat head screws. It wasn't a hi-grade watch, more a mid range grade watch.

I don't know if it was a "era" thing or a "certain movements" type thing.

I don't believe that it will be too hard to find a correct flat head screw for your bbl bridge. I think they are a tad longer than train wheel bridge screws. Might try the "wanted section" here and place an ad, many members have parts they are willing to sell to help another member.

regards,
bb

Thanks Buster.

I started looking at all my parts movements, I found a perfect fit in a screw from a South Bend
model 332. It looks perfect.
