If we are talking about a mvmt wind/set tool, for winding/setting a mvmt out of the case Confused, then one such as referenced, works generally for the 18/16/12 sz pocket watches Smile But if you are talking about placing hands on pinions, that is a different tool Smile

regards,
bb

Roger,

I've been using the Bergeon No. 7404-2 for pocket watches. It's two ends are 0.80mm and 1.5mm. The tool works great. I use the smaller end for the seconds hand and the larger for the minute and hour hands. The only issue is 1.5mm is small for 18 size watch hour hands and sometimes it's hard to lower the hour hand flush with the top of the hour wheel because the tool hangs up on the cannon pinion. Illinois and Hamilton 16 size hour hands have a larger inside diameter than 1.5 but the tool stops at the hour wheel which is nice because the hand never gets pushed down too far. Horotec makes a tool that has a 2.0mm end which I've thought about getting for the 18 size watches and to be able to lower the hour hands more on 16 size watches.
