Anyone ever use one of these. It does not look like it would work very well but would be handy tool to have if it did. What do you think!!

This would appear to be from the same Borresen who experimented with center seconds pocketwatches and other innovations for McIntyre and Hamilton. See this LINK to a page on Tom McIntyre's web site for more info on the man and his inventions.

I have one of the crystal grinders but have not pictured it on my web site. I found out about its existence from Borresen's grandson and later one showed up on eBay.

I have never tried to use it since I got it mostly for the name.

They do not work very well..I had a niced boxed one and gave it to Borresens Grandson about 2or 3 years ago as he was looking for a memento of his grandfathers inventiveness....needless to say he was quite happy when he received it..

Interesting tool i enjoy looking at these old tools i have a few old tool catalogs from the early 1900,s some intersting pieces listed in them. Smile
