Elgin grade 150 and correction in the price guide "Click" to Login or Register
posted
In the new price guide the Elgin grade 150 is listed as 20-21j lever set which puzzles me a bit since nearly all are pendant sets. The 20-21j also puzzles me a bit since only the first run of the 149 or the 150 were 20 jewels so that means there were 1000 or less of the 20 jewel versions and definitely not in the same grouping as the more common 21j pendant set versions. The next topic is the lever set attribute, actually for the lever sets versions they should be show as 2-3 stars since there are probably less than 500 lever sets even if that many. The lever set 150s show up in two versions, ENWC on the main plate and ENWC on the barrel plate, the main plate version is always early runs 2-4 and the ones marked on the barrel plate are later runs 6-7. My second one is not a grade 277 since it does not show up as one on the Elgin master records. Maybe someone can nudge the change since the current listing is incorrect, if anything mark the listing as 20-21j PS which is more correct and covers the majority production of this grade.
