Here's a nice dial on an Elgin. Serial 14721134, 15-j BWC Bristol 25 year case. It's a fancy dial to be on a 15-jewel movement. The case is very tight and shows little wear, no repair marks on the inside back cover.

Beautiful watch! I guess the original owner opted for a more expensive dial rather than a 17J movement. Similarly, I've seen a lot of solid gold cases with 7J movements and gold-filled cases with high-grade movements. I guess only the severely rich could afford both a solid gold case and a high a grade movement!
