I found this on "fleabay".It was so dirty you couldn't tell what color it was.A little elbow grease and it turned into a real decent, gold?plated pair case.Only marking is GEM on inside of back cover.Patent date of April 5th 1881.Paired it up with a 15 jewel 1883 model,Appleton Tracy that dates to 1888.Not original, but looks good.

Norman, a very nice job of pairing, no pun intended, up your movement to the Pair Case....Looks real good and the case compliments the bright gild movement.... I would really like to see a close-up of that dial if possible, it looks intriguing.... Thanks for showing us this it is really nice.... Regards, Jerry

As "GEM" is appropriately engraved on the back cover, you can now refer to it as "My GEM!"
