Help with a Waltham wind indicator "Click" to Login or Register
posted
My friend, Philip the watchmaker, is working on a Waltham 16s power reserve and needs the "13th tooth gear" on the bottom side of the barrel that friction fits on the bottom pivot... or so he tells me. I'll take his word for it because this is all over my head. Can anyone help him with that?

A picture is definitely worth 10,000 words about that. But I think I found the part number, it should be the 13 tooth pinion which is #4552 and that looks like it actually goes inside the motor barrel arbor to drive the wind indicator mechanism. You might check with Brian Cavenaugh for that.
