THis case feels like gold but is not marked except with the symbol pictured below. I feel quit sure it is gold but would feel better if someone found the mark in a book as to what carat it is. Thanks

We had recently discussed some of the Brooklyn marks in the Pitfalls section, under the " Solid Gold or Meaningless Mark" heading.

Lindell had posted a page from Erhardt's Trademarks book showing this mark as meaning 8 Karat solid gold.
