Coin Silver HC Needs Bezel "Click" to Login or Register

I have a very nice swing out coin silver 16s hunter case which is missing the bezel and glass. Can these be replaced? Are there folks out there who do this work? and Is there any value in a coin silver case for scrap?

Thanks,

Ken

Hey Ken, Yes bezels can be replaced, but in my experience there are so many differences in size and shape, you almost need a large assortment to find a correct one. Even if you have a bezel from the same brand and size case, that is no insurance that it will fit. I have a few extra bezels, but without actually having the case to try it on,I wouldn't know how to say if one will fit or not. Sometimes they will snap right on and seem to fit fine, and the cover will not close because the bezel is too tall for the case. If it is even a few thousands of an inch too small it will not go on,and a few thousands too big it will not stay on. Also, scrap coin silver cases are not worth much. Even without the bezel,it is probably worth more as a watch case than for silver. Cecil

Ken, you can send the case to Leon or contact him first at: HarrisLJ@msn.com
He can put a bezel & crystal on for you and one that will work....

As far as the scrap value, since it is coin silver and not sterling silver the value is less but will be worth 90% of the price of silver whenever you decide to scrap it....I agree with Cecil on that score though, it will be worth more as a watch case than it is for scrap silver....

Regards,
Jerry

Hi Ken, I would be glad to give it a look and see if I can fit one for you.
