A friend of mine gave me a little 12 size Waltham, 7 jewel pocket watch to fix up. It was his grandfather's watch. The dial is full of cracks and it has a yellow plastic crystal, but the movement runs nicely and it has the original case.

Question: Can anyone tell me when this watch was made so that I can pass this info on to my friend. The serial number is 21823338.

Thanks,

John III

Hi John,

Your friend's number 21823338 is recorded as follows...

21822001-21826000 is a 12-size, Model 94, Grade 210, 7-Jewel, Open-Face, Unadjusted.

It should be 1918 production.

Hope this helps,

Lindell

Hi John, Off of the subject for a moment. I got an Email from Jerry McBride last week. He told me they were having a lot of trouble with forest fires. Anything in your area? Our news stops at the border. Smile

Went out to dinner last night so I'll have to post pics this weekend.

Phil, no forest fires near my house, but lots of them farther north and east due to the extreme heat we had a few weeks ago. Luckily it rained yesterday so that should help.
