Provenance how important . "Click" to Login or Register

I have this pocket watch with great provenance
but need help with finding owner info .
His name was Joseph Kunda from Pittsburg Penn.
and was working on rail for long time retire in
early 1940's.
My other question is how important is the provenence of a watch to you?

It may be him just got his pocket watch
and piece of paper with his name and city
and I know he was working on railway for long time.
I would like to find more of his work info.
point me in right direction.

Do you have any other information on him? Checking census records & City directories I can not find a Joseph Kunda in Pittsburgh.

no all I have is his name and city and info
that he was railway worker.

That info came from the SSDI furnish by the Church of LDS, free online. From there you can go to Ancestry and check the censuses up to 1930, which is not free.

His SS card being issued by the State of PA does not mean that he worked or even lived there all of his life.

Good luck with your digging.

Ancestry, which I am a paid member, is one of the places I was looking. I do not have any luck with a person by that name in & around Pittsburgh. I did find some elsewhere in Pa. but none were listed in any railroad occupation.

I was hoping maybe there was something more that might help.
