Can someone tell me a bit about this watch. The seller thought it was a Maiden Lane but it is not so marked. I am wondering what model it is, et cetera. I believe it would have been RR grade in it's day. I don't have a good Seth Thnomas reference that gives serial numbers and model/grade. Can anyone suggest one?
Thank yoo.

Yes, this is the same one. I did not believe it was a Maiden Lane (I wish) for that price. Mine is lever set so maybe in 1890 in could have been grandfathered in. Thanks for your reply.

I believe the trouble with this one is, that although it is from what they called the "Maiden Lane Series" it's not "The Maiden Lane" there IS a difference.
The Maiden Lane Series is very desireable, however the top if the Series is "Maiden Lane" and is marked with the words Maiden Lane on the movement. There were few made with the Maiden Lane name, so they are a very high dollar watch. The last one I saw sold on ebay was a few years back and it sold for about $9,800.00. It was pristine, but I doubt that a seller would get that for it today.
I have a Maiden Lane I got on ebay for next to nothing, because the seller didn't know what it was, and listed it wrong. You have a really beautiful watch there. Congratulations!
