I just bought this watch and wanted to know if I had learned anything as yet, I am a little slow, I know. It is a Hamilton 992B ser# C257751, should be dating to 1949, with a # 525 melamine Cdn dial, flawless, and has the appropriate hands. The case is I believe a Cdn. Fortune "Sturdy" GF, which I think is completely original to the movement.Crystal is slightly scratched, but decent.
Hopefully my assumptions are right, if not tell me and I hopefully will start to learn something.

I guess I should also ask is there any data base pertaining to those original Canadian cases, or only the keystone etc. cases ?

Congrats on your purchase Bill, looks like a very credible example of a 992B made to be sold into the Canadian market. Larry Buchan is our foremost expert on Canadian cases, but he is on medical leave just now.

Best Regards,

Ed
