I would assume this is a staking set of some kind...I have a idea what it is but wanted some opinions..

it appears the item in the second pic is some type of "drill"... the pulleys on the side would lead the drive belt to a treadle wheel below the bench, the belt would wrap around the spindle and make it rotate.

i assume the items in the first image fit into the spindle somehow?


is it possible this is some type of burnishing tool??

look forward to the answers....

BTW, I like the overall ruler...

i guess I need to clarify my question a little.the first picture looks like it might be stumps of some sort but don't look like anything i have seen on any stacking set..
i do believe the second pricture is a drill or polshing. tool maybe..

they were togther so the big question what the heck is this..

A man in Canada who sells on ebay sometimes wants to know what these tools are before he sells them...I always enjoy looking at these pieces and am glad to help him if can..
but on these i did not know what to say..

I have been looking in what books I have on tools and have not been able to find this.
