Michael AngonaMonlija MVD pocket watch
Monija MVD pocket watch
I had recieved the aforementioned pocket watch as a Valentines day gift. I am looking to get some more detailed info on this item. Its serial number is 895551 and the other number on it is 3602. I am looking for the.age of this item, value, and any other info about this timepiece. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Jerry KingWelcome Michael, thanks for stopping by....any chance of seeing a photo or two of the watch...? Maybe one of the dial and one of the movement. It would probably help to identify the watch and make better judgements as to the value and age....I believe it could be a Russian watch....are you sure about the spelling of the watch...?
Thanks again for stopping by....there may be others that will write something as well if the watch is known....
Do come back to see us....
Regards,
Jerry

Krister OlssonWelcome Michael!
I agree with Jerry as to the origin of your watch. The number 3602 suggests that it is a Molnija made in Russia. For further information we would be helped by pictures of the dial and the movement.
Come to think of it, here is a link to a very informative thread about Molnijas:

Michael AngonaSorry it took me a bit to respond. Now I did mispell the name of the watxh, it is a Molnija and on the face it states it was made in Russia. Now at this time I cannot upload any photos. Any suggestions? And again, I thank all of you for your assistance.
Respectfully,
Michael

Roland GlennHi Michael, what you have is a Russian made pocket watch caliber 3602 and made for the North American market since it has Molnija that is legible and Made in Russia. For the home market the dial would be made up of letters foreign to us and instead of Russia, it would have CCCP.
Check out the European watch link and the thread on Molnija's.
Welcome again.

Eugene BuffardWelcome to this site. To upload to this site you have to make you photos smaller in size. It took me a while to get them to upload. We do this because a lot of our members live where there is not High speed. I download a version of Picasa. Which after your photos go to Picasa you can export them and make them smaller. I am quite sure someone will give you the info you need.
