I was wondering if anyone here could give me any info on this fob. Obviously not precious metal. A customer asked to see if I could find anything out about it.

Is it a ship or sub in the center, or are those all just characters?

Tom,
I think it is a ship. I can't really figure out what all the stuff in front of it is. It looks to me that it came off of a dollar watch of some sort.

The things in front of the ship, they are not wave caps are they?

No flag on the ship is there?

The ship outline reminds me of the battleship Maine.

GOOD CALL MARK! A pictue of the Maine is attached.

I was going to point out the nice home-made hole someone made with care to hang the memento suggesting it might have been a watch case back. The three main reliefs seen in the memento might be smoke stacks with smoke coming out.

I forgot to suggest that the things that appear to be bobbing in the foreground of the memento are sailors who were killed in the explosions, and are why we, "Remember the Maine!"
