Judging from the Hampden signature down above the seconds chapter, it was intended for this art. Rare indeed, Hand-Colored. I would appreciate it especially if the picture is engraved by an artist. What movement is it on?

The movement is 18 size 17 jewel. I am a sucker for dials and cases.
I also bought a mint Hamilton/Illinois 163a with a mint "23 J" dial.
Might send it to the J&H auction May 3rd
if not too late to get it in the catalog. Unless there is interest here.

Thanks Phil, that beautiful dial may just be a one-off , never seen another like it.That makes 2 "new" Hampden dials that just came to light.I'm wondering if Deacon knows anything about that one!
