I guess I should have done some research before I bought a couple of 18 size Columbus watches with broken balance staffs.

I don't mind changing balance staffs but I can't find out any information about them.

s/n 151623 which is 11 - 15 jewel, and other the seller says is 11 jewel and the serial number is 305330. I also need a mirco regulator whip spring for the 305330 s/n.

I could put this in the members wanted list but I hope a member can help me but this is really a search for parts supplies for the Columbus movements. Dash-To does not have any and my reference material does not list Columbus.

Thanks

Harry, Sometimes later 18S Columbus movements can be Re-staffed with a South Bend staff and a little re-work. Also, I have successfully "farmed" a good staff out of a Columbis Parts movement for re-use.

The first thing to do is get the broken staff out and save it for comparison to the best replacement candidate.

Several months ago there was someone selling a pair of "new old stock" Columbus 18s balance staffs on eBay. It might not hurt to search through the completed sales and email the seller. Maybe he/she has some more of them. Good luck.

Thank you David. I will be taking them out today. Thanks for the tip.

Dennis thank you. I found the old link and I have contacted the member. He thinks he has one left but he is out of town.

Gary that would be great. I will contact you via email so I can give you my address and get your contact information to send you the money.

Thanks all.
