I bought a couple of watches today needing some TLC. I really never have seen anything like this one. I photographed it as I removed it from the case so I'll have a record of how it was before I tore it apart. You'll get the idea.
It took me some time to figure out that this is an old 2 time zone concept. It has two chapters for time and two canon pinions and such. Only the one seconds register. I don't know if it originally had more hands but if you think about it, the one side needs a minute hand but the other really only needs an hour hand! Now listed if you are interested.
The dial side of the movement. Its roughly in the 18ish size category, maybe closer to 17s. the case is hunter style and is brass. I'll photo it later. Any opinions expert or otherwise?

This was indeed referred to as a "Captain's Watch" and what you have is a fairly inexpensive 19th century version intended for carry. The higher jeweled grades were very accurate movements and are very collectible.

Thanks for your comments. I will post photos of the finished watch when I get it done. Not sure if I have another hand to fit on for the minutes but I'm sure if I don't have one someone will.
