Mike HodgeHamilton Model 4 case questions
Ed and others, I just aquired a Model 4 cased 992 with a 2,5xx,xxx Sn. This would make production around 1933 for the movement. Is this an appropriate case for this movement?
I remember some time ago there was a post showing all the Hamilton RR model cases, but I cannot find it now!

Jerry KingMike, the mdl. 4 case came out in 1927 so it is feasible that the watch could have left the factory in that case, highly unlikely, but possible since your movement is dated at around 1933....
A more appropriate case for your movement would have been a model 9 which came out in 1932....
So either one would be ok, in fact mdl's #4 thru #9 would probably be okay....

Jerry
