Found this in a drawer of some stuff I got a couple of months back..Don't know much about this dial..It is a 16 size dial and I know its is used on a hunter movement in an open face case..Interesting thing it is not a repo painted dial it is enamel..Anyone seen them before and know their age..

Gary I have never seen a porcelain dial like this before however I know Hamilton made some later 4 footed dials to replace the original 4 footed porcelain dials that had been damaged years after they stopped making 4 footed movements so this does not surprise me. A very nice looking dial though.

Thanks Harry and Buster...Wasn't sure if Hamilton made a dial like this or not...I am now thinking it is pre 1920's, am I correct on that...Thanks again..Now that I know a little something about I am going to move it down to "Items for sale"

I don't know Gary. It is definitely signed for the 1905 to 1918 time period so I would say yes. On there dials they made at a later date for there 4 footed movements they used the modern block letter signature so I would guess that this was done during the correct time period for the scripted Hamilton signature.

These would convert a hunter movement to RR standard in the eyes of many inspectors.

Waltham advertised them and I have no doubt many were sold for Hamiltons and other popular movements.
