Hi all, have a gold filled case that I just put an new crystal into, and since it's in decent shape figured I'd stick a 1927 16s Illinois that I've got laying around in this case fromthe same time period that has no evidence of a previous movement being in it.
So who makes this case? It's marked Windsor and then B.W.C.C.O and is a 20yr rating.

Thank you, Roland.

Here is an image of the case. What I liked about it is the style of the bail. It's similar to one I have by Fahys, a Montauk 20yr gold filled.

Looking around the web after you posted that photo I found where George E. Fahys & Joseph Fahys were both owners or directors of the Alvin Mfg. Co, Brooklyn Watch Case Co., Fahys Watch Case Co., director Sag Harbor Water Co., New York Standard Watch Co., Sea View Elevated RR Co., Victoria Fire Insurance Co.

Both watch case company's used the address of 54 Maiden Lane NYC at the same time.

This information was from Biographical directory of the state of New York, 1900

So I can see why the cases look so similar.

I can see why also Tom. A very busy company back in those days. Here's the Fahy's and you can see the bail is very similar, but has a smaller crown which is possibly not original.

Thank you again Tom!!!

Here's a link to the discussion of my great-uncle's Dueber Special housed in a cut hunter case by Brooklyn Watch case company in solid 14k gold. The whole shebang is all original, and dates to 1890.

Thx Mark, great thread on your Hampden and the BWCCO case. I have just swapped the McKinley out of the Fahy's and into the BWCCO case as it was much cleaner with no brassing. Interestingly is that both cases are 100% interchangable both front and back covers are indentical other than markings and serial numbers. Hmm love this site!!!
