This is not meant to get the whole scrapping conversation going again, but I wanted to share.

I just picked up my 992B from a COA at a local jeweler and got into a discussion with the owner's wife about paocket watches and what I was looking for, etc. She told me that her husband had "a whole bunch" of gold cased watches. She told me that he has talked about scrapping them with gold being as high as it is and that he cannot find buyers for the watches as collectibles. She then went on to say that while she does not htink he is serious since he likes pocket watches, she will not allow him to do that anyway! (Ah yes, married life, but that is for another thread Wink) But that whole conversation made me feel better that there are other folks out there that are hanging on to gold watches.
