Question about Elgin staff. "Click" to Login or Register

I am restoring an Elgin 18S watch.
Serial # is 8.746.394 Grade 208, Class 63
I can't measure the staff as both pivots are broken.
The catalogue number of the staff must be 857
As the # is higher then 3.000.000 it must be a new style NS. Total length .240 inches.
The staff has a long hub. LH

So the correct staff is 857NSLHxx. xx is pivot diameter.

Please correct if I am making a mistake.

Thank you.

Bulent, I have a good supply of Elgin Staffs. Without matching to the Jewels, you may have to polish the pivots. I will go by the Elgin parts guide which is fairly accurate, and would like to verify it to a picture of yours as well before mailing it. So how about a picture (like a Rockford Staff I was looking for below) of the old broken staff so I can check for you.

Thank you very much David.

I have already a pivot polisher with instruction sheet and a lathe. I am attaching pictures. Could you tell me if they are suitable for this job?
Thank you.
Bulent
