Hi All Here is a recent find, it is a Waltham Premier Vanguard 23 Jewels pocket watch with the box. The label on the box matches the serial number of the watch. I have attached a few pictures. I think the hand written number is a stock number and under that is 71.50 which could be the price. Could this be the start of a list of boxed sets (like the 992B)? Thanks for looking and any comments welcome. Regards Keith

From immediate postwar period thru the late 50's, Elgin 571's and Hamilton 992B's in "economy" packaging were selling for $71.50, so it makes sense that contemporary Waltham M1908's would also be selling at that price. The 992B's had dial and case info on the box label, so it makes sense to have a database to document correct combinations. If the Waltham boxes have case & dial info somewhere on the box, it would make sense to do likewise with them. Best Regards, Ed
