I have a couple nice 23 jewel Waltham up down indicators both 16 size 23 jewel Walthams in original 14K gold cases. One is 5 adjustment and the other is a 6 adjustment. But my question is about the dial. Look closely at the indicator on the dial. Does anyone know the low down on this.

This one is like most I have seen

Rob, I have a wi in a Roy 14k case with the same dial as the second one in your photo/post. I have seen one other one as well. Is your second pictured watch in a gold case?

Thanks Samie, it's one I liked to, I saved the watch from going to the scrappers a couple of years ago. Here is one of the Wind Indicator dials in metal that you mentioned.

Here is an advertisement from an August, 1914 Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen convention. That was held in Calgary, Alberta. It shows the second type of Wind Indicator dial.

Samie that sounds well worth it. Here's another Canadian wind indicator that I bought from a Locomotive Engineer I used to work with on the CPR. He hired on around 1946, and told me he got this watch from his uncle.
