This is one of the wildest weeks I have ever had obtaining rare watches.

Early this week I picked up 3 different rare Hampden Grade 104 variants .You can see them in the thread Scarce 16 size 23j Hampdens.

Today I just picked up what may be the rarest 12/14 size Maximus made.

The watch is a 23 jewel Colonial Maximus Hunter.
Although I had put an early bid on it. Jerry Treiman alerted me to how rare this watch really is-- N=100. He said this is only the second one he has seen.

I originally hadn't looked at the pictures that closely and had assumed it was the "somewhat" more common 21j hunter.

By the way I only paid $624 for an extremely rare watch is in a 14kt case.

My pocket book is in sad shape but it was a great week.
