Robert V. JonesIs this 992 original?
Although a good looking watch I do not believe this is original case so I thought I would ask the experts

Buster BeckIt could be....
Movement is from 1928 and I believe that they were still selling 992's as movements only during that time.
Hamilton started factory casing "most" of their RR movements as early as 1924 and a few even earlier than that, and by the 1930's it was more or less an accepted practice by all of the watch companies.

Tom TrebiskyI have not clue as to how original or authentic (for the 992) the case is --- but I like it a lot!
My 992 are in cases with long slender, seemingly fragile pendants. Yours looks quite robust.
I like the 992 movement a lot, and I have seen a lot of variety, some - like yours - are quite beautiful.
