what next? dial, hands case and movements all look like other 16 Veritas 23j I have seen on Ebahy where the numbers go this has motor barrel. The rest of movement looks like the others. Contact Seller, he had been asked that Q also but couldn,t find one. I've heard of Companys making prototypes without serial numebers, but I'm not sure if any of them followed through and produced the prototyps. Can not understand why a company like Elgin would produce a watch and not number it. I've heard of them leaning out 60hours,other incidental info but not this. Watch works great so no difference to me except it would be nice to know production date, etc. Can anyone help me?

The only grade that I remember Elgin putting "motor barrel" on is the grade 590. The 23j 16s Veritas would be either the grade 350, 376 or 453 neither were marked "motor barrel". Either of these three would have nice DMK finish where the 590 would not, the 376 and 453 look very much alike except the 376 has a much fancier Veritas script with a larger V where the 453 has a more blockish veritas script. If you can post some pictures that would help.
