Waltham Dial on an 1892 Questions "Click" to Login or Register
posted
I just bought this one, but have yet to recveive it, can someone tell me about the dial. I saw a post some time ago here but cannot find it again.
I would like to know rarity, value, etc. I do not know that I have ever seen this in real life, and would like to be assured of the real thing.
Thanbks for your input.
Bill

I'd like to hear about the dial as well. I've not seen one like it.

Bill, I have that dial on a Vanguard and a Crescent St. It is not common and is my favorite Waltham dial. Very nice!

Well it finally arrived,
That is my Waltham 1892 19j Vanguard, diamond end stone, Walthams railroader dial, a very nice Fortune case, with no extra screw marks, quite please all in all. Looks like the sec hand may have been rubbing the dial at some time, but think when I clean the dial that will be gone. Have not had it for long enough to figure what time it is keeping, but have to get it serviced to be on the safe side.
Here are some pictures of it , and I welcome any and all comments, would also like to hear what it should be worth to try and figure if I overpaid or not. Comments on scarcity, value, and just comments.
Thanks, Bill
