In 1912-1913 Hamilton made a small run of only 25 of the 18 sz 926. In Cooksey's book they are labeled as "926 spec". Serial # 975401-25 Does anyone know why there were only 25 in this run of watches, and who the movements went to? Thanks

Jon I have no idea. But it is my understanding on runs like this that jewelers put in orders (for example 25 watches) and all the movements go to this particular jeweler. The 968 I have had several 10 movement runs and even a 4 movement run before their big 100 movement runs. I doubt if this helps but it might.

That run of 25 shows up on the Gelson list too. I think Harry's explanation sounds logical. Best Regards, Ed

Harry and Ed, I was thinking along the same lines... And in addition, it would come down to the desire of the collector to assess a value to the watch because there is no "guess-estimate" in the book?

Hello Jon: The hands you want to use are the correct Hamilton hands made specifically for Canadian 24-hour dials. Larry
