Making a belt case for a pocket watchGo ![]() | New Topic ![]() | Find-Or-Search ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply to Post ![]()
I’ve just finished the prototype for a belt case for a pocket watch. I think it would benefit from some tooling to add visual interest, but I’m pretty happy with the progress! Made of full grain vegetable-tanned leather that I’ve dyed black, hand sewn. I put a grommet hole in it to attach a lanyard to. Do folks usually use a fob with these cases, or a lanyard? Any feedback is most welcome. ![]()

I would think that some people would use a chain. I don’t know that many would use a fob, as they seem to be better suited to use when wearing overalls or a vest. Nice tooling would make the leather much more attractive.
