I kinda have a thing for chronographs. I have this one that I have cleaned and adjusted,and it now runs great,but something is missing from the stop feature. The slide on the case moves fine,and inside the case is a flat sliding bar,that I think is supposed to contact the balance wheel and stop it,but there is no connection. What's missing? Is it a wire of some kind,or a spring? Anyone have a photo,to show what contacts the balance? I can attach a piece of spring wire to the sliding bar,and make it work,but not sure if that is correct. Also what is "Goldine" is it like "Silverine",only yellow?

Cecil, While I know much less than you on the mechanism, I did have a nice watch with the "Goldine Patent". Mine was marked "18" I have to agree with you that it was a little known process not unlike silverode, just in a soft yellow tone. What i liked about it was it had very good wear qualities like silverode and would stay nice and bright for months at a time. I believe they are pretty uncommon today.
