This one popped up so I bought it since the grade 341 BWR's don't show up that often.

I have a 339 grade Elgin with the three finger movement, not a BWR. Does anyone know the difference?

The 341 was a bit higher finished and it is also a lever set where the 339 is a pendant set. I think the 339 was adjusted (temp/iso) but I doubt that it was adjusted to any positions and it had a normal brass train vs a gold train. The 339 was more of a mid-level movement and it seems as though the production for the 339 was about 40K.

Claude, great looking watch, also would you or anyone else be able to tell me the grade numbers for 17 jewel, 16 size BW Raymond models. They do seem to be rare. Thanks.

Gary, the Elgin grades that were designated BWR and had 17 jewels were 280-open face, 341-hunter,361-open face & 370-open face....

The 280 & 341 were adj to Temp and 3 pos. while the 361 & 370 were adj to Temp and 5 pos.....
